Emile later joins the clan when Django summons them to help cook after Linguini reveals the truth about Remy to his staff, who then quit.

During the chaotic evacuation from the elderly woman's attic, Emile is separated from Remy as their colony flees into the Parisian night. He eventually reunites with his father Django and the rest of the clan. When Remy returns to tell them he intends to stay at Gusteau's restaurant, Django uses a grim display of dead rats to convince him humans are deadly; Emile witnesses this warning but remains in the background as Remy defiantly leaves. Later, after Linguini reveals Remy is cooking, causing the human staff to quit, Django summons the entire clan to help prepare food for critic Anton Ego's visit. Emile joins this effort alongside his brother and father. When Skinner and a health inspector attempt to interfere with the service, Emile helps tie them up, gag them, and lock them in the pantry so Remy can finish cooking confit byaldi.
